QLD Maritime Museum – audio tour
Visit one of Australia’s largest maritime museums and discover historic vessels of all shapes and sizes. Take the complimentary audio tour. It’s a great place to visit for the whole family and the children especially enjoy exploring our BIG exhibits such as the warship Diamantina and the lugger Penguin.
The Queensland Maritime Museum was founded in 1971 and is run by a self-funded voluntary Association. The Museum contains extensive collections of historical maritime artefacts, books, documents and photographs. The collection is displayed to the public in the galleries and grounds of the Museum under the broad headings of Navigation, Lighthouses, Ship Models, Marine Engines, Vessels, and the Dry Dock.
Open daily 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Last admission 3.30pm.
Closed on Good Friday, and 24 to 26 December. ANZAC Day open at 12pm.
